Match Day Mansfield

On the 10th May 2014, 7 members of the Louth chapter travelled nice and early to a sports centre in Mansfield Woodhouse to take part in a “Match day” mat practice for students who are getting ready for competitions, but also they were able to trial the lastest Electronic scoring body protectors and foot protectors to see how they worked. The day was hosted by Kang Hang Taekwondo, around 70 students took part. It turned out to be a valuable day, with a lot of information and techniques gained and with a few surprises !!!! Those who took part were, Tom Ball-Micheal Fenton-Cheryl Fenton-Megan Koss-Braydon Koss and Evan Asquith. Unfortunately, Leanne Gowler was suffering from a bad cold and was unable to join in, but helped with the ring order for the other students. A very good day, lots learnt about the scoring system, there will be other days coming up and it would defiantly benefit all students to come and participate.

I certainly didn’t like being on the side lines, but I was pleased to aid and cheer everyone on. I am hoping to avoid getting poorly in order to not miss the next one….Fingers crossed :-). Everyone who took part did very well :-)
